The Jewel of the Pacific Northwest, "The Emerald City".

The City of Seattle has grown in popularity, making it one of the Pacific Northwest's hottest vacation spots. In every direction that you look there is a great view. Water dominates these great views.  To the west lies Puget Sound.  To the East is Lake Washington. In the middle of the city lies Lake Union. In the background to the west stands the Olympic Mountain range. To the East, you can see the Cascade Mountain range. On a clear day one of the most beautiful sights off in the Southeast is Mount Rainier.
