Seattle Theater has great entertainment for all 

There are many things that you can do in Seattle when it comes to cultural enrichment and Seattle entertainment one of these is going to a Seattle theatre. If you are interested historical theatres in the area, then you won’t be disappointed because among the theatres that you can find here are the Paramount Theatre, the Moore Theatre and the 5th Avenue Theatre, all of which have been in Seattle for quite a long time now. Of course, you can also experience the more contemporary theater in Seattle through the Seattle Public Theatre at the Bathhouse.

 

If you are interested in going to the Paramount Theatre, then you would have to know that this Seattle theatre holds six series of performances. These include Silent Movies, Comedy, Broadway, Dance, Jazz and Family. Voted as the “Best Mainstage Theatre” in the years 2001 and 2002, this theater in Seattle also hosts a broad spectrum of concerts that cater to the different appetites. The Paramount Theatre has been entertaining residents of Washington as well as visitors for some 77 years already.

 

The Moore Theatre is also another great historical theatre in Seattle. Having been constructed in the year 1907, this is the oldest theatre that is still standing in Seattle. The establishment of the Moore Theatre on Second Avenue will forever be seen as the time when the avenue was know as the district for theatre or film in the city. During the past twenty years, this Seattle theatre has been known to be the favorite venue for theatre and touring musicians as well as for community events in the local area. As such, all musical genre as well as beauty pageants, lectures and local dances have all shared the Moore stage over the years.

 

Another theater in Seattle that has been in the area for quite a period of time is the 5th Avenue Theatre, which has been around since 1926. Although the theater started out as a venue for high-quality vaudeville shows that featured the best entertainers, it was later made into a famous movie palace. Now, this Seattle theatre is known for producing top-rated revivals of famous musicals and for hosting Broadway musicals on tour. There are an estimated 150 musicals performed live on the stage of the 5th Avenue Theatre stage every year.

 

If you are interested on what a newer Seattle theatre can provide you when it comes to entertainment, then you can head on to the Seattle Public Theatre. Initially known as a small company that mainly presented their plays on tour of the public schools in Seattle, the public theatre was first begun in 1988. It was not only until the year 2000, when the theatre was chosen to be the resident theater company of the Bathhouse. Starting that year, this theater in Seattle was reborn to become one of the best middle-sized theaters in the area with top quality productions known for their professionalism.
